"Union Meal" at My An Tourism Joint Stock Company

On the first day of the week, the collective dining space of My An Tourism Joint Stock Company, Duong No Ward, became warmer and more bustling than usual. The Board of Directors and the company's union coordinated to organize a "Union Meal" for all 150 members and employees.

The meal is organized in buffet style with nearly 20 attractive dishes such as garlic shrimp, snails, chicken..., each meal costs 80,000 VND, 50,000 VND higher than the usual daily meal. Each dish is carefully prepared, ensuring freshness, taste and nutrition, demonstrating the company's care for the lives of its employees.

Notably, the people who directly planned the organization of the “Union Meal” were the company’s management board and department heads. Mr. Bao Khanh, Chairman of the Union and Head of Human Resources Department of My An Tourism Joint Stock Company, shared: “This is the second time the union and the company have coordinated to organize a union meal. The management board always pays special attention to the lives of employees, is ready to accompany and create all favorable conditions for the meal to take place in a warm and meaningful atmosphere.”

Not only stopping at words of encouragement, the leadership also directly attended, talked, and listened to the thoughts and aspirations of the employees. These gestures united the collective, adding motivation for each person to be more attached and devoted to the business. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, a housekeeping staff, expressed: “Being able to gather with colleagues and company leaders around the dinner table, enjoying many delicious dishes, I was truly moved. At times like this, all distances seem to disappear. I feel cared for, shared, and more attached to the company.”

“Union Meals” have been and are being organized by grassroots unions of many units and enterprises. According to the plan, this year’s “Union Meals” will be organized by the City Labor Federation from July 25, 2025 to September 2, 2025, focusing on the week celebrating the founding day of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28) and National Day (September 2).

In addition to union meals, many activities aimed at union members and employees have been and are being directed by many unions at enterprises. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nhat, Chairman of the HBI Hue Company Union, said: The union has just coordinated with the company to organize the awarding of 545 scholarships to children of union members and employees, and at the same time organized heritage journey experiences for the children. Previously, the company's union also organized training courses to equip union members and employees with smart spending skills during the price storm.

Trade unions at all levels in Hue city have also proactively and synchronously implemented a series of activities to care for and protect union members. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the entire city visited and supported more than 7,700 union members in difficulty with a total cost of more than 6.14 billion VND; nearly 5,540 employees received practical welfare packages such as health check-ups, legal advice, bus ticket support, Tet gifts, etc. More practically, the program to build and repair 35 "Union Shelters" with a cost of over 1 billion VND has provided sustainable housing for many union members' families in difficult circumstances.

In addition, cultural activities, sports , writing competitions, seminars, etc. are also widely organized to enhance spiritual life, create cohesion and sharing among members of the group.

Mr. Le Minh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation, said: The city's trade unions at all levels always strive to diversify the forms of care for union members and workers, not only focusing on material support but also paying attention to spiritual life and life skills. From these practical activities, the trade union's mark is created in building a humane working environment, motivating workers to feel secure in their attachment and sustainable development with the enterprise.
