The Royal Bridge, also known as the May Chai Bridge, is 2.2 km long, spanning the Cam River with a total investment of more than 2,300 billion VND, and is gradually being completed, connecting the core urban center of Hai Phong with Vu Yen Island (Thuy Nguyen City).
In mid-March, the Royal Bridge was closed. The bridge is expected to open to traffic on July 15, 2025. When completed, the bridge will connect the core urban center of Hai Phong with the urban area on Vu Yen Island and the urban area of ​​Bac Song Cam (Thuy Nguyen City).
May Chai Bridge has a cable-stayed structure, in which the main bridge is constructed by installing the edge span on scaffolding, installing the middle span cantilever, the main bridge cross-section is 21 m wide, 4 lanes, design speed is 60 km/h. The rest is the approach bridge on both sides.
According to PV's records at the end of June, the construction force is focusing on human resources and materials to complete the sub-items in time to prepare for technical traffic opening.
