(Dan Tri) - On the evening of October 6, thousands of people flocked to the 2025 Can Gio Whale Festival (Can Gio commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to watch fireworks and cheer in the colorful lights of the fireworks celebrating the festival.

Before that, the art program "Nghinh Ong Can Gio - Full Moon Festival Night" took place vibrantly, realistically recreating the life of fishermen at sea, expressing deep gratitude to Whale - the guardian deity of seafarers, and spreading joy for a new fishing season. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, a fisherman in Can Gio commune, was moved: "Every year my family comes here to attend the ceremony. Tonight there is a full moon, fireworks, and prayers for peace for the new sea season. It is truly sacred."

Many international tourists also joined the local crowd, expressing their impression of the warmth and friendliness of Can Gio people and the festival atmosphere imbued with the identity of Vietnamese maritime culture.

"I am very happy to participate in Vietnam's traditional festival. This is the second time I have come to Can Gio, the people here are very friendly and hospitable", Mr. Michael Wood (70 years old, Australia) shared.
