When I woke up, I was informed that along with me, there were 3 workers who worked that day who were also severely burned.
Mr. Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board: The above two incidents are very regrettable, because previously such work accidents rarely occurred in the industrial parks in the province. This is also a warning to businesses and workers to strictly comply with regulations on occupational safety and hygiene during work.

Regarding the occupational safety incident leading to death at the Thai Nguyen Electrolytic Zinc Factory, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board also requested the Factory to urgently coordinate with the contractor, Toan Cau Trading and Transport Joint Stock Company, to resolve policies and regimes for workers, promptly organize visits and encourage the families of the victims. Proactively coordinate with relevant authorities and units to implement procedures and processes for handling the incident in accordance with the law, review all occupational safety and hygiene work of the Factory and contractors operating within the Factory premises, etc.
In order to minimize similar work accidents, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board also promptly issued documents requesting enterprises in the industrial parks to step up propaganda work, raise awareness of employers and employees about occupational safety and hygiene, thoroughly educate employees to strictly comply with regulations and working procedures to ensure safety, employees must fully implement labor protection regimes, and be equipped with personal protective equipment during work.
In the coming time, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board will also strengthen coordination in inspecting and reviewing the compliance with regulations, procedures and measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at enterprises. Urge enterprises to strictly inspect and test machinery, equipment, materials and chemicals with strict requirements on occupational safety and hygiene, conduct periodic inspections of lightning protection systems, and occupational safety and hygiene training, etc.
Recently, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, and the People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen inspection and examination of compliance with regulations on occupational safety and hygiene in production activities, strictly handle violations if they are detected, and absolutely not let incidents similar to the boiler explosion at Huong Dong Company Limited happen. |
