About 15 km from the district center, Can Ty commune has a natural area of over 4,000 hectares; complex terrain with high and divided rocky mountains. The commune has National Highway 4C running through it, which is a great advantage for trading goods, consuming people's products, and developing tourism. The whole commune has 8 villages, 1,129 households, 5,536 people, most of whom are ethnic minorities such as Mong and Dao; people's income mainly depends on agricultural production...
In recent times, Can Ty commune has focused on implementing national target programs (NTPs), focusing on implementing the criteria for building new rural areas. The commune has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to change their crop structure appropriately, creating favorable conditions for people to access capital from the Social Policy Bank to invest in economic development.

Mr. Sung Mi Cho, Dau Cau II village, Can Ty commune shared: “My family borrowed 60 million VND from the District Social Policy Bank to develop the economy and borrowed an additional 40 million VND from credit capital according to Decree 28/ND-CP dated April 26, 2022 of the Government to build a house. Exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality, my family boldly built a farm and raised cows. Thanks to the conversion of crop and livestock structure, my family has achieved high economic efficiency and has a stable source of income”.
Not only Mr. Cho's family, many households in Can Ty commune have converted ineffective crop areas to temperate fruit trees, renovated mixed gardens, moved barns away from the house, and developed effective livestock farming such as: Mr. Chang Mi Su's family, Lung Vai and Mua Mi Chinh villages, Dau Cau II village, raising 20 - 30 pigs...
In addition to effectively implementing policies to support production development, Can Ty commune has mobilized internal resources of the people to develop the economy. Thanks to that, every year, many economic development targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan. Up to now, the whole commune has a total cultivated area of 761.5 hectares; a total herd of 1,985 buffaloes and cows, 792 goats, 2,635 pigs; 10,374 poultry; 560 bee hives, etc.
Comrade Sam Van Dung, Vice Chairman of Can Ty Commune People's Committee said: "The commune is implementing 3 national target programs, including the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction and the national target program for ethnic minority areas for the period 2021-2026. Thereby, gradually exploiting the potential and advantages of the commune, promoting economic development, ensuring social security, especially contributing effectively to improving people's lives; political security, social order and safety and national defense tasks in the area are also consolidated and maintained stable.
