Major General Le Minh Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that Vietnam is facing many challenges in the fields of national security, information security and order, and cyber security.
Every year, tens of thousands of important information systems of agencies, organizations and businesses are attacked by hackers. Protecting important information systems and protecting data is both an urgent and long-term task.

At the event, many speakers presented valuable papers for information security work, such as strategies to respond to cyber attacks in the context of restructuring and geopolitical tensions, promoting public-private cooperation in sharing cybersecurity intelligence and protecting cyberspace sovereignty, the role of technology in protecting people and businesses in the digital age, etc.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Son, Head of Technology and International Cooperation Department, National Cyber Security Association, raised the challenge of cybersecurity resources in Vietnam, predicting a shortage of more than 700,000 specialized cybersecurity personnel in the near future.

“According to a survey by the National Cyber Security Association, more than 20% of agencies and enterprises in Vietnam do not have specialized personnel in cyber security and 35.56% of units do not have enough personnel as needed. There needs to be a solution to the country's shortage of cyber security personnel, in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation,” Mr. Vu Ngoc Son shared.

According to Mr. Vu Le, an engineer at Sophos Company, ransomware attacks are more sophisticated than ever and if you wait until an incident occurs, it is too late. Organizations and businesses need to have solutions to prevent ransomware.

According to Major General Nguyen Tung Hung, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Warfare Command (Ministry of National Defense), cyberspace is an opportunity for socio-economic development but also contains many potential risks regarding cyber security. A country will not be safe if its national cyberspace is not safe. Therefore, Major General Nguyen Tung Hung believes that we need to build and create digital trust for people and businesses. Trust in the digital age is created, built, and developed by providing a safe, healthy cyberspace environment that ensures privacy, security, and reliability.
