According to a survey by the Vietnam Real Estate Market Research and Evaluation Institute (Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association), many facilities that do not meet legal requirements are still blatantly organizing training courses, even cutting down on programs, lacking evaluation and testing, and using unqualified lecturers.
These certificates are issued after a few hours or short sessions, which do not guarantee the required duration, but are still used in many legal documents such as applying for a license to open a trading floor or taking the real estate brokerage practice certificate exam.
Survey results show that this is causing potential risks not only to learners but also to the affected market.
Specifically, learners are at risk of losing money unjustly, being disqualified from the qualifying exam or not being licensed to establish a trading floor, and accidentally getting into trouble with the law. Incompetent and unethical practitioners are prone to fraud and market manipulation. Serious and qualified training units are losing market share, discouraging legitimate training facilities and units. State agencies lose control of human resources, leading to market information disruption, weakening policy effectiveness and budget loss...
As a socio-professional organization, the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association in general and the Vietnam Real Estate Market Research and Evaluation Institute in particular issue warnings about the situation of granting illegal training certificates, warning learners about legal and financial risks when participating in illegal courses.
At the same time, on this occasion, the unit also hopes that businesses, professional brokers or those who are in need of becoming professional brokers to ensure certification of professional skills need to grasp new laws such as: Real Estate Business Law 2023, Decree 96/2024/ND-CP, Circular 04/2024/TT-BXD and related legal regulations on training conditions, program standards and lecturer criteria for training and fostering real estate brokers.
We believe and hope that learners will be alert enough to avoid the trap of "fake training for real money", contributing to the professionalization of the brokerage team and the sustainable development of the real estate market.
