(Dan Tri Newspaper) - This morning (December 16th),FPT University issued a warning about a fake document announcing a Japanese Government scholarship program.

Eligibility criteria: Vietnamese citizens with good political and moral character; genuinely wishing to study in Japan; in good health to study abroad; not currently under disciplinary action or under investigation by a competent authority.

"To participate in the program, the school requires students to demonstrate financial capability, specifically needing to have 120 million VND in their bank account to obtain a bank statement to submit to the school," the announcement stated.

According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT University, the announcement is completely fake. The person who forged the document transferred FPT University to… the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, in recent times, many fraudulent advertisements related to study abroad brokerage, recruitment, and admissions have been associated with the names of various organizations.

For FPT educational institutions, applicants need to understand the principle: All official information must be published on the school's official portals.

Regarding finances, FPT Edu strictly adheres to a cashless policy; all payments, if any, are made through accounts in the school's name, not in the names of individuals or other entities.

Previously, many scammers created fake Facebook accounts impersonating international students or people working and residing abroad, befriending their friends and relatives, and then sending messages to trick them into transferring money ranging from a few million to several hundred million dong.

Some individuals, who are not authorized to provide study abroad consulting services, create fake websites and fictitious companies on social media to scam people out of money.
