Police use specialized equipment to break steel doors to control fire at fabric warehouse

On the morning of July 8, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Da Nang City Police quickly controlled a fire that broke out at a fabric warehouse on Nguyen Dinh Tuu Street (An Khe Ward, Da Nang).

The fire was discovered by local residents at around 8:40 a.m. the same day when black smoke billowed from a closed fabric warehouse, then the fire broke out fiercely, with a column of smoke hundreds of meters high. Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Da Nang City Police dispatched 6 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.

Because the interior contained a lot of flammable fabric, the fire spread quickly and generated a large amount of smoke, making it difficult to put out the fire. The police had to use specialized equipment to break down the door, wear gas masks, and spray water into many nozzles to cool and isolate the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas.

Fire Police and Rescue Force actively fought the fire at the scene.

Local police also blocked off a section of the road to ensure public safety. After more than an hour of effort, the fire was basically under control. However, authorities continued to spray water to thoroughly handle the remaining smoke. At the scene, many assets and equipment in the warehouse were burned.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
