After hearing the special announcement about the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong being held under the National Funeral ceremony, Mr. Ly Van Tien, Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, prepared a new flag and a black ribbon to fly the flag at half-mast. Although the National Funeral took place on July 25 and 26, Mr. Tien was moved to hang the flag with a black ribbon in front of his house, expressing his respect and deep sorrow for the passing of the highest leader of the Party.
Many agencies, organizations and residential areas in the province simultaneously flew flags at half-mast to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
According to records, in recent days, many agencies, offices, and public places in the province have flown flags at half-mast to express condolences and gratitude for the great contributions of the General Secretary.
At the Ha Quang District Police Headquarters, officers and soldiers flew the flag at half-mast in accordance with regulations, with a mourning band 1/10 the width of the flag, the length of the flag, and only hung the flag to 2/3 the height of the flagpole, using black cloth to tie the flag so it wouldn't fly. At the same time, the officers and soldiers of the entire unit were directed to stop organizing recreational activities.
Flags tied with neat and solemn black ribbons were hung up before the National Day of Mourning in memory of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
To express condolences and commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on July 22, the Provincial People's Committee issued a notice on flying flags at half-mast, with mourning bands, and not organizing public entertainment activities during the National Funeral. Accordingly, during this time, party agencies, unions, state agencies, social organizations, schools, hospitals, armed forces units, localities, and central units located in Cao Bang province will fly flags at half-mast. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People's Committees of districts and cities direct and guide organizations, individuals, entertainment establishments to reduce or temporarily suspend, postpone the organization of art programs, sports competitions, and other entertainment activities in the area from July 22, 2024 to July 26, 2024; On July 25, 2024 and July 26, 2024, absolutely do not organize the above programs and activities.
