Trust and expectations of readers and contributors - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

With the milestone of Thanh Nien Newspaper's first issue published on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press was born as a historical necessity, meeting the urgent needs of the process of campaigning to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam. Looking back at the development process over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has been loyal to its principles and goals set from the beginning, becoming a sharp weapon, accompanying the nation in the arduous struggle, sacrifice, overthrowing the colonial and imperialist domination, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland as well as in the cause of building and developing the country, for the happiness of the people, creating glorious and proud pages of history.

In that historical flow, Cao Bang Newspaper with more than 60 years has made outstanding contributions to the cause of fighting for national liberation, building and defending the homeland and the country. The staff and reporters have constantly developed and innovated in all aspects, are steadfast in political courage, proficient in professional skills, exemplary in professional ethics and have performed well their social responsibilities. In the innovation process, Cao Bang Newspaper closely follows the direction of the Central and the province to propagate and bring the resolution into life in a vivid and creative way; reflects the new life, the new people truthfully, sharply, actively praising new factors, advanced models; fighting against corruption, negativity, waste, bureaucracy, always ensuring orientation, honesty and fighting spirit. The Newspaper operates in accordance with its principles and purposes, pioneering on the information, ideological and cultural front; affirming the role of the mouthpiece of the Provincial Party Committee, the voice of the Party and the government, and being a forum for the people in the province.

In the digital age, information explosion with diverse media channels, Cao Bang Newspaper is always a particularly important information channel, effectively supporting the leadership, direction and operation of Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots, successfully implementing the goals of socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and the political system of the province. Bao Lac District Party Secretary La Hoai Nam shared: Through contact and direct work with the staff and reporters of Cao Bang Newspaper and following the articles in the publications, I see that they always strive to work seriously, responsibly, enthusiastically, "live" with events, stick to the locality, stick to the grassroots to be creative, vividly reflect practical issues accurately and effectively, contributing to orienting public opinion information, strengthening the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party, the State and the people. Among them are many articles about ethnic minority areas, conveying multi-dimensional information about the implementation of national target programs, programs, projects... in the district. In particular, many major events, as soon as they ended, were quickly posted by Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper to readers; providing speeches and instructions from the Central and provincial leaders, helping Party committees and authorities from the district to the commune to grasp and implement promptly and effectively.

For Mr. Duong Van Tai, a Mong ethnic, a prestigious person in Ca Rai hamlet, Duc Xuan commune (Hoa An), reading the Party newspaper has long been a daily habit. Mr. Tai confided: Being provided with newspapers, especially Cao Bang Newspaper, is very useful for me and the people in the hamlet, to access official and outstanding information in the province, the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, especially ethnic and religious policies. Thereby, helping people raise awareness, actively preserve the national cultural identity as well as learn how to develop the economy, reduce poverty, improve living standards and strengthen the great national unity bloc at the grassroots level.

Cao Bang Newspaper's publications are spiritual food for the ethnic people in the province.

Due to the large area and difficult transportation, while the Cao Bang Newspaper's team of reporters cannot "cover" regularly and continuously at the grassroots, districts and cities, the collaborators are the "extended arms" of the editorial office. Currently, the newspaper has more than 300 collaborators from many different industries, professions, ages and localities, actively contributing to the newspaper's information and propaganda, rich in content, profound in topics and comprehensive in fields and areas. With enthusiasm, responsibility and passion, the works of the collaborators promptly reflect current events and issues of public concern with diverse forms of transmission and rich topics.

With 12 years of working experience, Ms. Pham Thi Ha (Hoa An District Culture and Communication Center) has long been a close and devoted contributor to Cao Bang Newspaper. Every month, she regularly sends news and articles to the editorial office, promptly conveying issues and events happening in the locality to people inside and outside the province. Ms. Ha shared: There are times when natural disasters, storms, floods, and the Covid-19 epidemic occur, my colleagues and I in the Center's propaganda team take turns working 24/7 to be ready to go to the grassroots to report information promptly and as soon as possible, both serving the radio news on the loudspeaker system, the district's electronic information page and collaborating with Cao Bang Newspaper. Every day, I access Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper, follow publications to grasp information and learn how to do journalism from colleagues, hoping that the newspaper will organize more training courses, improve skills, expertise as well as orient topics so that the team of collaborators can continue to participate in competitions launched and organized by the province and the newspaper.

Along with the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, the propaganda work on national defense - security, the activities of the armed forces in newspaper publications have many positive changes, increasingly closer to the needs and tastes of the public. According to Major Ly Huy Duong, staff of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Political Department, Provincial Border Guard, the propaganda of the activities of the Border Guard in the press is not only a normal press task but also a special ideological work; is an essential part in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, consolidating the all-people border defense posture closely linked with all-people national defense and people's security right from the grassroots. I am very happy that my articles published in Cao Bang Newspaper have partly contributed to spreading the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", honoring the noble qualities of the Provincial Border Guard; at the same time introducing typical programs and models in the work of protecting border security. That is a practical way to build a solid "people's hearts and minds" position, create a stable foundation from the grassroots and encourage cadres and soldiers to compete to complete all assigned tasks well.

Mr. Le Chi Thanh, a retired cadre, Chairman of the Senior Journalists Club of the province, with his enthusiasm and burning passion, still actively collaborates with Cao Bang Newspaper. Hundreds of his articles published in the newspaper's publications, mostly on the topics of history, culture, especially the folk culture of ethnic groups in the province, always attract readers. His works not only provide readers with useful information but are also valuable sources of materials for young journalists and management agencies. According to Mr. Thanh, writing for the newspaper is not only a responsibility but also a precious sentiment for Cao Bang Newspaper - the model Party Newspaper of the province. The newspaper agency and collaborators - non-professional journalists have a close relationship with each other, always exchanging, receiving, contributing ideas and suggestions to improve the quality of the content and form of the newspaper day by day.

I believe and expect that Cao Bang Newspaper already has a solid foundation, and after the merger will be even more streamlined and stronger.
