That means that manufacturers, processors and traders need to pay attention to the issue of quality and food safety, clearly understand the harmful effects of using banned substances, preservatives, additives and antibiotics not listed. In recent times, the work of disseminating State regulations, knowledge on safe food production and trading for production and trading establishments as well as disseminating and mobilizing people to raise awareness in the production, trading and use of safe products to ensure the health of the community and the environment has been regularly carried out by the Department of Agriculture and Environment (formerly the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development). The industry organized 14 conferences to disseminate regulations on quality, processing, trading and food safety with 565 attendees; Printed 101,210 leaflets and 380 banners with propaganda content on production, processing and trading of safe agricultural products.
Strengthen coordination with districts and cities to build and form raw material areas, implement 5 self-managed community models on food safety in 5 communes that meet the criteria for reaching the new rural target in 2024 and 2025, including the communes: Ngoc Dao, Luong Can (Ha Quang), Le Chung, Nguyen Hue (Hoa An); Dam Thuy (Trung Khanh). The work of supporting the construction and connection of safe product supply chains has been effectively implemented. Currently, in the province, a number of agricultural commodity production areas have been formed with the connection of "4 houses", initially applying technology to agricultural production. Restoring and developing Tra Linh specialty tangerine varieties; building new and intensive planting models of Hoa Tham tangerines (Nguyen Binh), Trong Con tangerines (Thach An); exploiting and developing genetic resources of Dong Khe pears, Nguyen Binh pears, Bao Lac pears. Applying scientific and technological advances to develop raw material areas, producing high-quality green tea in Nguyen Binh district..., bringing benefits to participants, helping to reduce input costs, ensuring output, building brands of local agricultural products. Building supply chains, developing OCOP, VietGAP, supporting the construction of OCOP product introduction and sales points; The province currently has 171 OCOP products (including 10 4-star OCOP products and 161 3-star OCOP products). Over 150 entities have been supported to participate in events, festivals, and trade fairs promoting OCOP products and specialty products in provinces and cities across the country. Traceability support for over 200 products of production and processing establishments in the province has been provided.
Every year, the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with relevant units to establish interdisciplinary inspection teams for food safety in the agricultural sector, and specialized post-inspection of agricultural food processing and trading establishments and agricultural materials. Of which, agricultural materials take 16 fertilizer samples, 12 animal feed samples to be tested according to the standards announced by the manufacturer on the packaging; agricultural food products take 1,895 agricultural food samples to be tested for plant protection chemicals, banned substances, microorganisms, heavy metals, preservatives, etc. The test results show that most of the samples tested meet food safety standards. Some samples of violations related to preservatives, additives, microorganisms, etc. have been handled by the People's Committees of districts and cities according to regulations. Appraisal and issuance of certificates of food safety and hygiene qualifications for 26 production, processing and trading establishments according to the decentralization of the Provincial People's Committee; Supported certification of 12 production facilities on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System, 6 facilities on ISO 22000: 2018 (Food Safety System). Conducted 10 inter-sectoral inspections of food safety and hygiene work with 50 inspected facilities, of which 12 facilities violated food safety regulations, mainly violations related to health check-ups for workers, certificates of facilities meeting food safety and hygiene conditions, origin, product declaration, etc.
