Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Pham Thanh Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City...

At the conference, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le said that the program "People ask - Government answers" was born in the context of Ho Chi Minh City gradually recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. Immediately after that, the program became a solid bridge between the people and the city government, clearly demonstrating the responsibility of the government apparatus in performing public duties, serving and promoting the people's supervisory role.

Ho Chi Minh City also has the program "Dialogue with the city government" (first broadcast on February 25, 2006) on AM 610KHz and online on the website of Ho Chi Minh City People's Radio. This is a forum for information exchange between the city government and the people, creating conditions for people to follow, express their opinions, solve difficult problems and contribute ideas to build the government.
Since 2022, the two programs have produced 42 television episodes and 29 radio episodes, receiving over 3,200 opinions, of which 82% have been resolved or officially responded to.

Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le commented that the two programs are two-way information channels, where openness and transparency are demonstrated, dialogue is promoted, trust and social consensus are spread, and many good impressions are left in the hearts of the people. The success of the two programs is based on three core factors: choosing the right issues, organizing closely, and spreading effectively. The recognition and high appreciation from the people for the two programs, especially demonstrated through the voting of the program "People ask - Government answers" as one of the 50 typical events of Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 1975 - 2025, is the clearest proof of that success.
He affirmed that the HCMC People's Council will continue to promote responsibility and diversify the forms of receiving and handling opinions of voters and people. In particular, it will effectively implement solutions to widely communicate information about the new HCMC People's Council's operating methods, as well as the information that the city government wants to convey to voters so that people know and participate in exchanging opinions, so that the new exchange method becomes more and more practical.

According to comrade Nguyen Thi Le, when arranging Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City, it will create opportunities for sustainable development, build Ho Chi Minh City into a modern megacity, leading the economic development of Vietnam and enhancing its position in the international arena.
In that context, the conclusion of the two programs has special significance. The valuable experiences from the two programs will be a solid foundation for continuing to develop new, more effective dialogue channels, suitable for the scale and requirements of a future megacity.

He suggested that in the context of a larger population and expanded area, the city needs to increase the organization of specialized topics by field and by locality to ensure that all voices from the people are heard, recorded and responded to satisfactorily.
At the same time, continue to promote digital transformation to improve the interaction and effectiveness of programs. Completing the online question-and-answer management system, applying artificial intelligence and building an open data warehouse will help the program stay close to reality, meet people's wishes, and expand the space for voters' criticism, recommendations and supervision in cyberspace.
