Summary of the model "Growing Viet Lai 20 rice using Que Lam organic fertilizer in 2025"

In the spring crop of 2025, the Center for Agricultural Extension and Agricultural and Forestry Seeds in collaboration with Quoc Anh Private Seed Trading Enterprise and Hai Phong High-Tech Agricultural Joint Stock Company will deploy a demonstration model of "Growing Viet Lai 20 rice using Que Lam organic fertilizer in 2025" in Hong Quang 1 commune, Hung Dao commune according to a closed process using Que Lam organic fertilizer.

Through monitoring the model of planting 1 hectare of hybrid rice variety Viet 20 using Que Lam organic fertilizer (SH04, KH12, KH06), it shows that the variety has a short growing period, an average of 120 days in the spring crop; healthy seedlings, 18 days old with 3 - 4 leaves. The plant grows well, tillers are strong and concentrated; leaves are upright, with narrow leaf angles to increase photosynthesis; flowering is neat, and the panicle neck is well drained. The variety has good resistance to pests and external conditions; is only slightly infected with bacterial stripe at the tillering stage, and small rice leaf rollers at the post-flowering stage; and is not severely affected by brown spot like other varieties. The rice panicle is on average 27 cm long, large and long, with many grains (an average of 128 firm grains/panicle); long rice grains, little chalkiness, soft rice; high yield, about 75 quintals/ha.

This result is the basis for continuing to develop the hybrid rice variety Viet Lai 20 combined with Que Lam organic fertilizer in the following crops, and at the same time, the model can be replicated thanks to the suitability and sustainable effectiveness of organic fertilizer.
