Phu Ninh: Launching social assistance facility for disabled children

(QNO) - On the morning of June 20, the launching ceremony of Thien Tam Social Assistance Facility took place in Phu Ninh district. Attending were representatives of the Red Cross and Provincial Charity Association, local authorities and philanthropists.

Thien Tam Social Assistance Facility (located in Tam Phuoc Commune) was established with the consent of Phu Ninh District People's Committee, with Ms. Le Thi Ly as director and 5 employees. The purpose of the facility is early education , intervention for children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders; physical therapy for children with cerebral palsy, polio; psychological counseling for children with disabilities and parents.

This is a place where disabled children can meet each other every day, receive physical therapy, and play and participate in community activities. Children who come for treatment are free of charge. The facility's operating costs come from support from benefactors and depend on the parents.
