Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway finished ahead of schedule, technically opened to traffic on August 19

The 11.47 km long Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway (Da Nang City) through Da Nang City will be technically opened to traffic tomorrow (August 19).

According to Mr. Ta Gia Manh Hung, Project Executive Director ( Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board), tomorrow (August 19), the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway (Da Nang City) will officially open to technical traffic after nearly 2 years of construction. This is an 11.47 km long section, with a total investment of more than 2,100 billion VND, playing the role of directly connecting the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway, contributing to completing the North - South Expressway in the East.

Up to now, all important items such as bridge girders, bored piles, piers, retaining walls, and asphalt pavement have been completed, reaching 100% of the volume. The main route has been completed 99%, only the final tasks such as road markings, anti-glare nets, and guardrails remain.

La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway is 11.47 km long, with a total investment of more than 2,100 billion VND.

The Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan Expressway is designed with a scale of 6 lanes, the roadbed width is 29 m; the current phase of the project is implementing 4 complete lanes, the roadbed width is 22 m, the road surface is 14 m. On the route, there are 11 bridges nearly 493 m long, 1 Hoang Van Thai interchange, more than 20.12 km of parallel service roads and a system of underground tunnels for people.

The contractors, including the Joint Venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation, Traffic Construction Corporation 5 and One Member Co., Ltd. 17, mobilized more than 200 engineers and workers along with dozens of equipment and machinery, organizing 20 continuous construction teams to ensure progress.

Workers complete the "final stages" before the technical opening on August 19, 2025.

The project will start construction in September 2023 with a total investment of VND2,113 billion, of which compensation, site clearance and resettlement costs account for more than VND951 billion. The entire project is expected to be completed in November 2025.

When put into operation, the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway will reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1A, shorten travel time through Da Nang, and at the same time open up new development space, creating a driving force to promote the socio -economic development of the Central region, meeting the requirements of infrastructure development associated with ensuring national defense and security in strategic areas.

The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Project has a total length of over 11.5km, passing through Da Nang City; including main items: 2 interconnecting traffic intersections, 11 bridges, 8 underpasses, 62 culverts of various types, 2 parallel service roads with a total length of over 20km. The project has a total investment of over 2,100 billion VND from the State budget.

Construction will begin in September 2023. According to the signed contract, the above project will be completed and put into operation in November 2025. During the inspection of this project in early September 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the Investor and contractors to complete the construction of the main route of the Project by the end of August 2025.
