The Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine of Ha Tinh province has just provided chlorine chemicals to Thach Ha district to treat white spot disease in shrimp.
Recently, a number of shrimp farms belonging to Mr. NTH in Thach Long commune were affected by white spot disease. To address this situation, on October 6th, the People's Committee of Thach Ha district issued a document requesting support with chemicals for disease prevention and control in shrimp.
Upon receiving the document, the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine provided 150 kg of chlorine chemical free of charge to the Thach Ha District People's Committee to treat the white spot disease in shrimp at the NTH household.
In addition to the above solution, to proactively prevent and control the disease, promptly contain and control outbreaks, and limit their spread, the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine requests the People's Committee of Thach Ha district to direct the Center for Application of Science and Technology and Protection of Plants and Animals to organize the reception, management, allocation, and use of chemicals for the right purpose, effectively, without loss or waste; and to coordinate with the People's Committee of Thach Long commune to guide the purchase of additional chemicals to ensure timely and thorough disease control.
The District People's Committee will strengthen guidance and direction in implementing disease prevention and control measures for aquatic animals in the area according to the documents issued by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Sub-Department; proactively review, inspect, and monitor at the grassroots level, detect early, and promptly implement prevention and control measures when new outbreaks occur, preventing widespread transmission, and promptly report the disease situation and prevention and control work as required.
