Update on storm number 6: Approaching Quang Tri province

Due to the impact of storm No. 6, the area from Quang Binh to Da Nang had heavy rain, with average rainfall from 50-150mm, and locally heavy rain over 250mm.


According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 9:00 a.m. on October 27, the center of storm No. 6 was at about 16.6 degrees North latitude; 108.3 degrees East longitude, about 65km northeast of Da Nang . Strongest wind: Level 9 (75-88km/h), gusting to level 11. Forecast: In the next 3 hours, the storm will move in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 10-15km/h.

The Meteorological Center warned that this is the first storm to affect the Central region. Its path and development are still complicated. The time of impact on the sea and land will be long and cause heavy rain in the coming days.
