Novak Djokovic led Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(6), 7-6(6) when play was suspended on the night of July 9, and the Wimbledon fourth round match resumed on the evening of July 10.
When the match resumed, the Polish player continued to maintain his impressive form in the service games and continuously took the lead.
Djokovic chased fiercely, however, he made a mistake in game 12 and helped his opponent break the game, winning 7-5 in set 3.
The fourth set continued to be tense, but Djokovic made a turning point with a break in the seventh game, the first time Hurkacz had been broken at Wimbledon 2023. Seizing the opportunity, Djokovic went on to win 6-4 in the fourth set and closed the match.
Djokovic said in an on-court interview: "Credit to Hurkacz for playing a great match, he was a tough opponent today...
Hurkacz put in a great performance. Honestly, I don't remember the last time I felt this miserable returning serve, because his serve is so accurate and powerful."
Djokovic's next opponent is Andrey Rublev, who booked his place in the quarterfinals after winning on July 9.

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz overcame a tough match against Matteo Berrettini 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 to reach his first Wimbledon quarter-final.
Berrettini played aggressively from the first minutes and won the first set after breaking in the 8th game. However, Alcaraz quickly grasped the tempo of the match.
In the next 3 sets, the Spanish player played well when successfully defending all service games, and also won 4 breaks, thereby winning 3-1.
"I knew it was going to be really tough... Berrettini is a great player. He reached the final at Wimbledon, so I knew he was playing well. Of course, it wasn't easy after losing the first set," Alcaraz said in an on-court interview.
I knew I would have a chance, I just had to stay focused and that's what I had to do, not lose focus. I did really well the rest of the game, so I'm really happy to come back and play a great game."
Alcaraz will next face sixth seed Holger Rune. The young Danish star overcame 2017 Nitto ATP Finals champion Grigor Dimitrov in four sets (3-6, 7-6, 7-6, 6-3).
