6 year old boy secretly took his father's car to take his younger brother to buy toys

The boy secretly took the Toyota Vios while his mother was taking a bath and his father was sleeping. He drove himself for 2.5km, through two bends, many intersections, to Melaka Road, New Ulu Melaka Mosque, Langkawi Mamu College.

The dangerous journey only stopped when the boy lost control and crashed into a lamppost on the side of Bukit Dangjia Street, Sing Pangkor, Langkawi. The incident happened at 11:15 pm on May 9. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, the older brother suffered a small cut on his chin and did not pose a danger to anyone on the road at that time.

After the incident, passersby took the two boys home as they were instructed.

The villagers took the two brothers home as instructed. Langkawi police also took statements from the parents of the two children.

According to Langkawi Police Department Director, Mr. Saliman, the boy's father is a 28-year-old vegetable shop owner and his mother is a 22-year-old housewife.

Video footage filmed by passersby shows the car losing control and crashing into a lamppost. Many passersby came over to see and were surprised to learn that the driver turned out to be a 6-year-old boy.
