After 17 months of construction, on the morning of November 28, Rach Dia bridge officially opened to traffic, 1 month ahead of schedule.

According to Dan Viet reporters on the first day of opening, traffic on the route around the bridge was stable, no congestion occurred.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang (residing on Le Van Luong Street, District 7) shared: "Seeing the project that has been under construction for a long time now put into use, I and the people here are very happy. Traffic here during rush hour is very chaotic and congested. Hopefully with this new bridge, traffic jams will be reduced."

The Rach Dia bridge construction project has a total investment of 512 billion VND, of which construction and installation costs are 146 billion VND, compensation, support and resettlement costs are 290 billion VND for 4 organizations and 92 affected households.

The opening of Rach Dia Bridge will reduce traffic pressure from District 7 to Nha Be District, and at the same time support traffic flow during the construction of the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho underpass, helping to reduce congestion at the southern gateway.
