Rectify and strengthen occupational safety and hygiene work

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document directing departments, branches and localities to implement Official Dispatch No. 51/CD-TTg dated May 21, 2024 of the Prime Minister on rectifying and strengthening occupational safety and hygiene.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, sectors and localities according to their functions, tasks and scope of management to strengthen state management of occupational safety and hygiene, considering this a regular, long-term task of great significance in the socio -economic development of the province, ensuring human security. Proactively request enterprises in their fields, sectors and management areas to review regulations, standards and procedures on occupational safety and hygiene in production and business activities, especially in key projects and works, and areas with high risks of occupational accidents; promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations, and ensure absolute safety for workers. Strengthen information and propaganda work, raise awareness of employers and workers on occupational safety and hygiene; Publicize violations in the media and set advanced examples, good experiences, and valuable lessons on ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in the province.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to guide and encourage enterprises in the province to proactively invest, implement preventive measures, strengthen self-inspection, supervision, and drills to minimize work accidents and occupational diseases; promptly detect and replicate good models, effective practices and strictly handle violations within its authority; promptly report and advise on matters under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee...
