The fire broke out at 8:30 p.m. on July 11 at the Ly Thai To intersection, Vuon Lai ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
At that time, people heard an explosion, then discovered the facade of the food and fast food business building at Ly Thai To roundabout and the pawn shop next to it were on fire, with black smoke billowing.
According to witnesses, at the time of the fire, many people inside the two houses panicked and fled, creating a chaotic scene. Local forces mobilized many mini fire extinguishers to approach and put out the fire but were unsuccessful.
Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's fire prevention and rescue force mobilized many fire trucks and more than 30 soldiers to the scene.
The police divided into many groups to approach, pull water hoses to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading.
After about 15 minutes, the fire was extinguished.
The fire occurred in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, causing chaos in the residential area. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but many devices and furniture in two houses were burned down.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
