A major fire broke out today at a major shopping mall in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur.

According to video recorded by witnesses, fire and black smoke were seen coming from the facade of Mid Valley Megamall. Witnesses also said that the shopping center lost power and everyone was evacuated in time.
In a statement on Facebook, the center said the fire broke out at an off-site transformer station, which led to a fire that was later brought under control. There were no injuries.
Malaysia is currently in the midst of a record heatwave, which is expected to last until August.
