Big fire burns down sawdust and plywood factory in Dong Nai

On the evening of May 19, Vinh Cuu District Police said that the fire in the sawdust and plywood factory had been controlled, but many properties had been completely burned down.

Earlier, at 4:00 p.m. the same day, workers discovered smoke and fire coming from a sawdust and plywood workshop in Vam Hamlet, Thien Tan Commune, Vinh Cuu District and immediately shouted.

In just a few minutes, the fire engulfed the entire factory, the smoke column was hundreds of meters high. Many nearby residents had to evacuate their belongings in the thick smoke.

Upon receiving the news, 50 firefighters and 8 specialized vehicles arrived at the scene and deployed multiple firefighting teams. To prevent the fire from spreading to other companies and residential areas, firefighters pumped water to cordon off the area behind the factory.

By 8:00 p.m., the fire was basically extinguished. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but all the property inside was burned down.
