The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force (PCCC&CNCH) quickly arrived to deploy fire extinguishing plans, successfully controlled the fire, and prevented it from spreading.
According to initial information, at around 11am the same day, people discovered smoke and fire erupting fiercely from a warehouse located in alley 491 Truong Chinh Street. Because the warehouse contained many plastic products, the fire quickly spread, creating a column of black smoke, covering a large area.
Many people living in the alley and neighboring businesses were panicked and evacuated outside. In particular, because the fire was located right near Vo Thanh Trang market, small traders were extremely worried and hurriedly moved their assets and goods to prevent the risk of fire spreading.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Region 13 (Ho Chi Minh City Police) mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and many specialized vehicles to rush to the scene. The firefighters divided into many teams, approaching the fire from many different directions. A working group was dispatched to the Vo Thanh Trang market area to both spray water to put out the fire and set up a containment belt, determined not to let the fire spread to the market area and surrounding houses.

To ensure safety and serve the fire fighting work, the authorities have blocked off a 200 meter stretch of Truong Chinh Street. Vehicles are being directed to move to other routes.

A representative of the Tan Binh Ward People's Committee said that the warehouse that caught fire contained mainly plastic products, causing a large amount of smoke. Fortunately, there was no one inside the warehouse at the time of the incident. Currently, the cause and exact damage of the fire are being urgently investigated and clarified by the police.
