House fire in Hanoi kills 3 people

According to information from the authorities, at around 3:20 a.m. on April 28, a fire suddenly broke out in a 3-storey, 1-attic tube house at No. 87A, Alley 99/110/85 Dinh Cong Ha (Dinh Cong Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi). Immediately afterwards, residents reported the incident to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of Hoang Mai District and Hanoi City Police dispatched 7 fire trucks and dozens of soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire and search and rescue.

Due to the house being located deep in a small alley, it caused many difficulties for firefighting, rescue and relief work. The authorities quickly deployed firefighting work, promptly rescued an injured person and handed him over to the medical team to be taken to Bach Mai Hospital for emergency treatment.

By 3:46 a.m., the fire had been basically extinguished; authorities discovered three dead victims in the house and one injured. It is known that the four victims were from the same family. According to the police, when the fire was discovered, the fire had broken out on the second floor and spread to the third floor.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Previously, in June 2024, also at a house on Dinh Cong Ha street, Dinh Cong ward, Hoang Mai district, a large fire occurred, taking the lives of 4 people.
