'Beautiful sister' Trang Phap: If born again, I wish to still be Vietnamese

In the newly released MV Forever Vietnamese (collaborating with talented Ha Le), Trang Phap wrote: 'If I were born again/ I would still like to be Vietnamese forever'.

After two days of release, Trang Phap's MV Forever Vietnamese surpassed 1 million views on YouTube, not to mention other platforms.

The song was composed by the "beautiful sister" herself before the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. Before releasing the MV, Trang Phap introduced "Mai la nguoi Viet Nam" to about 25,000 audiences at the V Fest music festival organized by VTV on August 10 in Hanoi .

Soon, she will sing this song at the Sao Nhap Ngu concert taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Trang Phap: Happiness today is a very extraordinary thing.

Trang Phap shared that 2025 is a special year, with many important milestones and great changes in the country.

The artist had been nurturing the song for 6 months, but it wasn't until she participated in Sao Nhap Ngu , listened to the commanders' sharing, and experienced military life that she was inspired to complete the composition on the bunk beds in the barracks.

"Hope touches the hearts of all Vietnamese people. The happiness of today is something extraordinary," she said.

The inspiration for the artist to write Forever Vietnamese comes from images imbued with national spirit such as cars protecting motorbikes during Typhoon Yagi , people helping each other in the face of natural disasters, parades and marches "walking in the hearts of the people"...

It was those images that inspired her to write the first melodies of the song.

The song is Trang Phap's message about something that is inherent in the "genes" of Vietnamese people in any era: patriotism, love for compatriots and solidarity.

Vietnam is very beautiful

Is the "almighty beautiful sister" of In the 2023 film "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves", Trang Phap impressed with her comprehensive skills from singing, composing, dancing, playing piano to leading the group. Watching the MV, you will see many beautiful natural scenes of Vietnam: Coc Sam clover hill, Song Lam waterfall, Ta Cu Ty, terraced fields at Sin Cheng market (in Lao Cai).

In addition to Lao Cai, some scenes were filmed in the capital Hanoi, where Trang Phap was born. The song has lyrics full of gratitude for her "home": "No matter how far away I go, I always remember the place called home/ The place where I am embraced/ The place where I belong".

Through the MV, Trang Phap wants to convey the message "willing to always be Vietnamese" and spread gratitude to previous generations.
