In recent years, cable and digital television have been gradually replaced by computers and the Internet. People can watch their favorite shows and movies right on their handheld devices.

In that context, TinyCircuits, based in the US, has made a compact TV to carry and watch anywhere, with the size of a grape. Users can watch videos or the entire series of their favorite movies right on this device.

TinyTV 2 with dimensions of 47.6 × 36.6 × 25.9mm, is inspired by CRT TVs, which are considered home appliances that bring a nostalgic element to the space, but are inconvenient because they are too bulky and heavy. The TV looks like a small model, creating an interesting feeling for the surrounding space.

Now, TinyCircuits has launched an even smaller version called TinyTV Mini. The device uses a Raspberry Pi RP2040 processor, comes with a remote control to change channels and adjust the volume.

With 8GB of memory, users can save up to about 10 hours of video using the conversion software. The usage time is about 2 hours, allowing the TV to play a full movie, but it needs to be plugged in to charge every time you finish watching.

The TinyTV Mini comes in a plastic case, equipped with a rechargeable battery, channel buttons, volume controls, and an on/off switch. The product comes in two versions, including a classic brown color that resembles an old TV, and a transparent plastic version.

Users can also easily download their own videos, movies or TV shows using TinyTV Converter, a free tool to convert any MP4 file, and load the files into the TinyTV Mini via the USB-C port. Additionally, the device also supports direct video streaming from a computer connected via USB-C.

Both of these products cost more than $60 . This TV cannot receive wireless content or perform live streaming.

In recent years, the trend of retro and miniature electronics has exploded globally. TinyTV reminds us of the CRT TVs of the 80s and 90s, as well as tapping into the spirit of collecting and exploring strange gadgets of young people. This is a unique display item, bringing a sense of nostalgia mixed with fun to the living space.
