Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the presidential race in August to support Mr. Trump.
Last week, the Wisconsin Supreme Court accepted Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s appeal against the Wisconsin Elections Commission, after the commission announced it would keep the name of the independent candidate in the 2024 US presidential election.
According to The Hill , the court cited state law that does not allow the removal of an independent candidate who filed for president before the August 6 deadline. The only exception is if the candidate dies before Election Day.
All documents on President Kennedy's assassination will be declassified if Mr. Trump is elected.
Mr. Kennedy suspended his campaign in August and endorsed former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee. Since then, Mr. Kennedy has launched legal efforts to remove his name from the ballot in battleground states, including Wisconsin, with the goal of pushing votes toward Mr. Trump.
On the same day, the New York State Supreme Court refused to add Mr. Kennedy's name to the ballot in this state after lower courts found that the independent candidate was not an official resident of the state. In fact, Mr. Kennedy lives in California, according to Reuters.
New York is considered a "Blue" state, supporting the Democratic candidate in presidential elections since 1988. Mr. Kennedy's name on the ballot in this state could reduce the concentrated vote for the Democratic Party.
