Chieng Xom implements many good models

In 2020, Chieng Xom commune, Son La city was the first unit in the province to meet the advanced new rural standards. Promoting the leadership role of the grassroots party organization, the Party Committee of the commune has selected many breakthrough contents, built specific models for application and implementation, contributing to increasingly improving people's lives.

Comrade Lo Van Luan, Secretary of the Chieng Xom Commune Party Committee, said: The commune Party Committee has 15 subordinate Party cells and nearly 500 Party members. The commune Party Committee has developed 12 plans and set out 20 specific and detailed tasks to implement the models; focusing on leading the implementation of concrete pouring in alleys, building flower roads, and lighting systems in the villages; establishing a working group to monitor and direct the implementation of the models.

The model of “Lighting for alleys and hamlets” was identified by the Commune Party Committee as one of the breakthrough models. After nearly 1 year of implementation, Party cells have promoted and mobilized people to contribute nearly 600 million VND, installing 229 solar lights in all villages, lighting up over 6 km of alleys and hamlets.

The Youth Union is the core force, actively participating in the model of "Lighting for alleys and hamlets". Ms. Ha Thi Hien, Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, said: The Commune Youth Union has developed a plan, proactively contacted units and businesses in the City to support 40% of the cost of buying solar bulbs for 8 villages, totaling 200 million VND. Mobilized Youth Union members to contribute 150 working days to install lighting.

Mr. Lo Van Truong, Secretary of Sang village Party cell, Chieng Xom commune, shared: The Party cell has promoted and mobilized people to contribute funds to install lights on the roads; regularly check and clean solar panels to absorb energy better, increase durability and prolong the service life. Since having electricity for lighting, people's travel has been convenient and safe.

With the model of "People do, State supports", in 2023, the Party Committee of Chieng Xom commune directed the pouring of concrete on more than 1.7 km of alley and intra-field roads in Ai, Hum, Tong villages, with a total cost of more than 1.6 billion VND; of which, people contributed 160 million VND; built 1.3 km of flower roads, 100% of which were contributed by people. Implementing the model of "Party members in charge of helping poor households", the commune mobilized to eliminate 4 temporary houses for poor households and households in difficult circumstances; directed the Women's Union of the commune to build a model of "Supporting poor and disadvantaged women to start a business".

Ms. Tong Thi Lam, President of the Commune Women's Union, said: To help poor members and those in difficult circumstances develop their economy , in 2023, the Union will use socialized funding from officials and members to support the purchase of plants, breeds and capital support for 18 members. At the same time, coordinate with the Farmers' Association to train and guide on biosafety poultry farming techniques, sweet corn and corn cultivation for poor members and those in difficult circumstances, helping households grasp the techniques and apply them effectively in farming and raising livestock.

In addition, the Chieng Xom Commune Party Committee has implemented a model to improve the quality of training for grassroots cadres; strengthen the prevention of violations in party organizations and party members; the model of "Reconciliation Team at the grassroots level"; improve the quality of party cell activities associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; build cultural and artistic clubs in hamlets associated with the implementation of Project 04-DA/TU dated August 20, 2020 of the City Party Executive Committee on preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the City imbued with the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the Northwest sub-region; community digital transformation team; the model of "Typical communal police, exemplary in security, order and urban civilization; friendly, dedicated, humane, serving the people"; security camera model...
