The event “Colors of Son La ” took place at Bien Dong Park, Son Tra District, Da Nang City. On the beautiful My Khe beach, a space imbued with the cultural colors of the Northwest appeared with brocade products, Com shirts, Pieu scarves, rattan and bamboo handicrafts... that many tourists loved. When it got dark, the atmosphere became even more bustling with the community cultural performance of actors and artisans of Son La province, bringing Tha Khenh dance, Xoe dance, Bell dance, Bamboo dance... creating a space imbued with the identity of the highlands, helping Da Nang people and tourists experience interesting things about the spiritual and cultural life of the Son La ethnic community.
Coming to Da Nang city in this event, Ms. Lo Thi Ban, a Thai ethnic artisan from Son La city, excitedly said: I am honored and proud to introduce the unique culture of the Thai ethnic group to the people and tourists in the coastal city of Da Nang. Hopefully, through this event, I will be able to welcome many friends and tourists to explore and experience the land of Son La.
In addition to the community cultural space, Son La province also brought a booth introducing many typical OCOP agricultural products of enterprises and cooperatives in the province, such as: Tea, coffee, vermicelli and fresh and dried fruit products... and many ethnic specialties: Chinese sausage, dried meat, sticky rice, cham cheo... attracting thousands of visitors to visit and shop.
Jame Bancone, a tourist from Denmark, commented: I am really impressed with the exhibition space of Son La province. The agricultural products and local specialties are very diverse, with very unique flavors. I really like the plums and the dried meat on the kitchen counter - very delicious and unique. I will come to Son La in the near future to learn about the culture and cuisine of the Northwest region of Vietnam.
The highlight of the event series was the art program with the theme “Colors of Son La”. More than 50 artists and actors from the Son La Provincial Music and Dance Theater brought 14 art performances, elaborately staged, introducing the cultural picture of Son La ethnic groups with unique and distinctive customs along with attractive tourist destinations such as Moc Chau, Van Ho, Quynh Nhai, Bac Yen, inviting visitors.
Ms. Nguyen Huyen Anh, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, shared: I have not been to Son La - Northwest, but just enjoying the art performances, I feel like I am "traveling" to the land of Son La rich in identity. This is a destination worth experiencing, my family and I will definitely come to Son La.
Along with promoting the image, the tourism event "Colors of Son La" also brings opportunities for investment, cooperation, and association to form unique and attractive tours and tourism products between Son La and Da Nang.
Mr. Tran Xuan Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, said: With the orientation of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, Son La province has identified cooperation and market expansion as important tasks that need to be carried out regularly and continuously. This is an opportunity for the government, state management agencies on tourism, and local businesses to exchange, evaluate potential, opportunities and orient cooperation to build and develop products. The event “Colors of Son La” has left a deep impression, helping Da Nang people and tourists feel and spread the image of the majestic land of Son La - Northwest, friendly and hospitable people, and attractive tourist destinations; opening up opportunities to promote and link tourism development, inviting tourists to explore and experience.
