With the theme: "Books give children thousands of good things", this year's Festival attracted the enthusiastic participation of 6/9 provincial libraries: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, with nearly 200 children.
Each unit participates in 2 competitions: introducing the team and telling stories from books (2 primary and secondary levels) in no more than 30 minutes. The units compete to tell stories from books on topics such as: Vietnamese history, Uncle Ho, national heroes, love for the homeland, islands and protecting the country's sovereignty over islands;...
The festival is organized by the Regional Library Association of the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands, aiming to spread, build and develop reading culture, reading skills, information access and processing skills among children, towards building a learning society and lifelong learning. Thereby, creating a healthy and useful playground for children, an opportunity for children in the region to meet and exchange learning experiences with each other.
This is a traditional cultural activity that has been maintained for nearly 30 years, with the mission of spreading the love of books, nurturing the souls and personalities of the young generation through each meaningful page of books.
