List of 44 people to be voted on by the National Assembly in 2023

At the beginning of the morning session on October 25, the National Assembly listened to the report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the discussion of the National Assembly delegations on issues related to the vote of confidence . After that, the National Assembly established a vote counting committee and conducted the vote of confidence by secret ballot.

Early this afternoon, the results of the vote of confidence will be announced. Afterwards, the National Assembly will also vote to pass a resolution confirming the results of the vote of confidence for those holding positions elected and approved by the National Assembly. According to Resolution 96 of the National Assembly on the vote of confidence, the National Assembly will take a vote of confidence for the following positions: President, Vice President; Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Council of Nationalities , Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees, Secretary General of the National Assembly; Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, other members of the Government; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy and State Auditor General. However, according to Resolution 96, the National Assembly will not take a vote of confidence for those who have announced their retirement or have been elected and approved in the year of the vote of confidence (this time from January 1).

Among the 44 people who were voted on, the President's bloc had 1 person; the National Assembly bloc had 17 people; the Government bloc had 23 people; the remaining 3 people were the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy and the State Auditor General. Previously, on the afternoon of October 24, when the National Assembly approved the list of 44 people to be voted on at this session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that the work reports of those who were voted on had been sent to National Assembly deputies for study. The asset declaration reports of those who are voted on will be sent to the National Assembly deputies for consideration and study. The National Assembly Chairman also said that, up to now, the National Assembly Standing Committee has not received a report from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front nor the opinions of the National Assembly deputies regarding those who are voted on. This is the fourth time the National Assembly has conducted a vote of confidence. The first time was in 2013, when the National Assembly voted on 47 people. In 2014, the National Assembly voted on 50 people for the second time. In 2018, the National Assembly voted on 48 people.
