Previously, while fishing in the DK1 sea area, fisherman Nguyen Van Cha, born in 1980, from Khanh Hoa , on fishing boat number QNg 90789TS, suffered from severe abdominal pain, fatigue, and high blood pressure. The crew on board quickly took the fisherman to the DK1/9 platform for emergency treatment.
Immediately after receiving the fisherman, the officers, soldiers and military medics of the Platform quickly transferred him to the platform, grasped the situation, organized examination and first aid, helped the patient overcome the critical condition and reported to the Command Center at all levels to have timely support plans.

Through examination and initial assessment, it was determined that the patient suffered from decompression sickness due to diving to catch seafood at a depth of 25m, and that the patient's condition had worsened, beyond the ability to treat on-site. The Commander of DK1/9 Platform contacted, notified and instructed the fishing boat to take the patient to the infirmary on Truong Sa Island for further treatment.
The timely, responsible and affectionate actions of the officers and soldiers of DK1/9 Platform, DK1 Battalion clearly demonstrated the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers", always ready to help fishermen in times of trouble, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the army and the people at the forefront, together firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
