Weather forecast for Lunar New Year 2024
There is still about 1 month left until the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, besides racing against time to complete year-end work, the weather of Tet is also something that many people are interested in, especially people in the North and North Central regions. Because in the past 10 years, the weather of Tet in this area is often sunny, warm, even hot.
According to VTV , in the past 60 years, the North has experienced 5 Dragon Tets in cold weather. In Hanoi , the lowest temperature was 11.4 degrees Celsius on the Giap Thin Tet in 1964; 11.2 degrees Celsius on the Binh Thin Tet in 1976; 7.1 degrees Celsius on the Mau Thin Tet in 1988 (this was the lowest temperature in February since 1977 up to that point); 11.5 degrees Celsius on the Canh Thin Tet in 2000; and the most recent 9 degrees Celsius on the Nham Thin Tet in 2012.
Sharing about this issue, Prof. Dr. Phan Van Tan, Department of Hydrometeorology and Oceanography, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi said that during Tet, the weather in the North is not too cold, but also not as unusually hot as in some recent years. The temperature fluctuates around 20-22 degrees. There may be light rain and drizzle at night and in the morning, but there is little chance of rain during the day.
