Students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized the Green Summer Campaign in O Lam commune

From July 19 to 21, more than 500 youth volunteer soldiers of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy completed 7 programs and 4 youth projects in response to the Green Summer Campaign 2025 in O Lam commune (An Giang province), with the theme "Sowing smiles forever".

Giving gifts to disadvantaged students in O Lam commune

The volunteer student force came to offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the O Ta Soc National Historical Site and the An Ninh Hamlet Martyrs' Monument; visited and gave gifts to policy families.

In addition, in coordination with O Lam Commune Health Station, we organized free screening for hypertension and diabetes, and provided health consultation for more than 100 elderly people; gave 50 gifts to Khmer families in difficult circumstances, each worth 400,000 VND; gave 50 gifts to support students who overcame difficulties and studied well at Luong Phi Primary School (worth 150,000 VND/gift).

Health examination and consultation for people

The youth volunteers also organized the program "Children's Day" for more than 300 students at Luong Phi "A" Primary School. Thereby, they distributed more than 300 dinner meals; organized "Zero-dong stalls", donated more than 200 sets of clothes for children and adults; renovated and upgraded "Playground for children"; carried out the youth project "Beautiful walls for children", painted murals to decorate classroom walls; and had a campfire with the youth union members and armed forces of O Lam commune. The total cost of the activities was over 40 million VND, mobilized and contributed by the students.
