At the meeting on the morning of October 21 at the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Telecommunications provided new information related to public reaction to the opening of Russian Market, The Box Market in the building under their management.

Russian Market is not officially operating yet.

After receiving comments from the public and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the signboard “Russian Market” on the wall of the Ho Chi Minh City Telecommunications Building (on Nguyen Van Binh Street) was removed. Mr. Tran Anh Vy said that Russian Market has not officially operated and will only start doing business when it has a full license.

Regarding the news that many stalls and stands in the Russian Market are open, Mr. Tran Anh Vy affirmed that they are open for ventilation, and that no activities are allowed there. If there are stalls operating as reported, they will be corrected.
