The seminar gathered the participation of many managers, researchers and artists of the capital, aiming to exchange, contribute ideas, clarify the role, responsibility and solutions to promote the creative potential of artists in successfully implementing the goals set out in the Resolution of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee; thereby helping to orient and effectively promote the intellectual resources of artists, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment, improving the quality of people's spiritual life, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the capital.

This is also an opportunity to look back and evaluate the role of artists in the process of building and developing Hanoi's culture, arousing the pride, sense of responsibility and creative aspirations of artists in the new period, contributing to clarifying the path to making culture truly become a pillar of development, a soft power in the development of the capital.

Speaking at the seminar, journalist Vuong Minh Hue, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi People Magazine, said: The 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030 (taking place from October 15 to 17), unanimously passed the Congress Resolution with 5 development perspectives, in which it affirmed "promoting the thousand-year tradition of civilization, building elegant and civilized Hanoi culture and people as pillars".

This is a viewpoint that demonstrates the strategic vision of the City Party Committee on the role of culture, considering culture not only as the spiritual foundation of society but also as an endogenous resource and driving force for the development of the Capital.

According to journalist Vuong Minh Hue, in the context of deep international integration, the strong digital transformation process, along with the intersection of value systems, tastes and lifestyles, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Thang Long-Hanoi is becoming more urgent. This is not only the responsibility of state management agencies but also requires the cooperation of the whole society, in which the capital's artists - the core force, play a pioneering role in creating, cultivating and spreading the cultural, artistic and humanistic values of Hanoi.

“In the context of the city aiming to develop the cultural industry into a key economic sector, the team of artists needs to proactively adapt to new creative trends, combining art and technology, tradition and modernity, local and global elements. They are not only creators but also value creators, inspiring innovation in the cultural and artistic ecosystem of the capital”, the Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi People Magazine emphasized.

At the seminar, based on the analysis of the role and position of culture, literature and arts in the development strategy of Hanoi Capital in the spirit of Resolution of the 18th Congress as well as the role and responsibility of the capital's artists in implementing the city's key tasks in the period 2025-2030, the delegates proposed many specific ideas and solutions to effectively promote the intellectual resources of artists, from policy mechanisms, creative environment, investment in culture, to the connection between professional associations, cultural institutions and management agencies...

According to journalist Ho Quang Loi, Vice President of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, former member of the Standing Committee, former Head of the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee, former Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association : The Capital Law 2024 has created a foundation and legal framework with outstanding mechanisms to promote talents. However, there needs to be more specific, practical, and attractive mechanisms and policies to attract high-quality human resources. That attraction is not simply material benefits, but also the working environment, working conditions, trust, and true receptiveness... so that talents can be creative and contribute.

Journalist Ho Quang Loi affirmed that a new creative space is being opened. Intellectuals, artists, scientists – the “Thang Long scholars” of today need to join in with a new vitality, wholeheartedly, enthusiastically creating and contributing to the capital and the country.

In order to promote the mission of the capital's artists in building the cultural value system of Thang Long-Hanoi in the integration period, poet Bang Viet, former Chairman of the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association, said that on the part of the artists, there should be new, bold, and drastic action programs to achieve unexpected and rare results in both scale and quality, from the elevation of the artists' team to the stature and social influence of creative works, both domestically and internationally. To do so, the artists' team needs to practice their creativity, especially the ability to discover issues that can be shared with the world from the reality and life of Vietnam today.

Writer Bui Viet My, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Writers Association, proposed that it is necessary to further specify solutions to promote literary and artistic creation associated with each task of the City Party Committee in the new term. In particular, promoting creation on traditional culture, continuing and renewing with contemporary creative thinking, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural values of Thang Long-Hanoi; increasing works with social criticism, reflecting the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, contributing with the Party and the Government to fight against negativity, promoting the process of building a civilized and modern Capital, where advanced and elegant people are the center of all development.

Looking for ways to open more "doors" to spread valuable literary and artistic works of the capital, contributing to enriching the spiritual life and orienting the aesthetics of the people, poet and journalist Nguyen Quang Hung, Deputy Head of the Special Topics Department - Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that we should create more material conditions, reasonable costs as well as promote the socialization mechanism for art units and artists to perform for the people in the city's wards and communes and smaller areas.

In addition, it is necessary to innovate communication activities in art units, invest in research to develop information portal systems, official social networks of the units as well as train and foster professional skills for the communication team, so that outstanding programs and works no longer fall into the situation of "silk clothes worn at night", can overcome the traditional concept of "good wine needs no bush" to proactively bring its quintessence to the audience.

According to poet and journalist Nguyen Quang Hung, awakening the creative potential of artists and the desire to have works worthy of the times is an issue worth raising for the capital Hanoi, requiring important support and companion strategies from the city for the artists. The work of supporting talents, promoting creative investment policies, developing cultural spaces and institutions to serve the enjoyment of the public all need to be researched and implemented specifically and practically with clear tasks of the focal points, agencies and implementing units.

Concluding the discussion, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Dao Xuan Dung affirmed that the opinions and discussions at the discussion are valuable sources of information and important practical bases for authorities at all levels and functional agencies to absorb, research, and develop specific programs and action plans, contributing to promoting the role, position and responsibility of artists in the new period.

Comrade Dao Xuan Dung expressed his hope and belief that with a large, talented, dedicated and intelligent team of artists, Hanoi will continue to maximize its "gray matter resources", turning creativity into a driving force for development, contributing to the successful implementation of the key tasks of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
