Hoa Phat leads the Top 10 Value-Creating Enterprises in Vietnam 2025 – Construction Materials Industry

The Top 10 Value-Creating Enterprises in Vietnam are selected based on objective, quantitative and scientific research methods. The program aims to honor pioneering enterprises in creating value for the economy and society, demonstrated through: scale and growth rate; profit and contribution to the budget; environment, policies and labor welfare; commitment to ESG and innovation.

In the first 9 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 7.9 million tons of crude steel, up 23% compared to the first 9 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 7.4 million tons, up 22% compared to the first 9 months of last year. Of which, the Group's construction steel and high-quality steel recorded 3.5 million tons, up 6% compared to the first 9 months of last year. Hoa Phat holds the No. 1 market share in Vietnam for construction steel with 37%.

Galvanized steel recorded 320,000 tons, steel pipe products reached 627,000 tons, a sharp increase of 25% over the same period last year. Prestressed steel, wire rod steel of all kinds also grew 25% in sales volume with 116,000 tons, of which exports contributed 42%.

Hoa Phat focuses on developing high-quality steel products to serve the mechanical engineering, automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding, oil and gas, household appliances, steel structures, and energy industries. The Group is also vigorously implementing the project of a steel rail and profile steel factory in Dung Quat. The factory is expected to produce steel rail products in 2027, serving key railway projects in Vietnam and exporting to international markets.

Hoa Phat Steel is produced using closed-loop technology, recovering excess heat and gas during the steel smelting process to generate electricity, effectively saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In 2024, the residual heat power plants in the two Hoa Phat Steel Production Complexes in Hai Duong and Dung Quat will have a total electricity output of 3.18 billion kWh, worth about VND 5,400 billion, helping Hoa Phat to be self-sufficient in over 90% of electricity for production.

The innovation and creative initiatives of member companies also bring practical results, contributing to increasing productivity, reducing costs, and benefiting the Group with hundreds of billions of VND each year. In 2024, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel has 30 innovative and creative initiatives implemented, Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel has 13 initiatives, Hoa Phat Steel has 10 initiatives and Hoa Phat Steel Pipe in Hung Yen, Da Nang, Binh Duong contributed 41 initiatives.

Hoa Phat focuses on developing high-quality steel product lines to serve the mechanical manufacturing industry.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Hoa Phat achieved more than 74 trillion VND in revenue and more than 7,600 billion VND in profit after tax, up 5% and 23% respectively over the same period. The Group paid 7,100 billion VND to the budgets of 20 provinces and cities across the country.

In parallel with production and business activities, Hoa Phat spends hundreds of billions each year to implement many social responsibility programs in the fields of health, education, transportation and community, such as supporting the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor and policy families, donating more than 300 water purifiers to schools and medical facilities, building Binh Dong Primary School in Quang Ngai...
