Cau Giay Ward: Many passionate opinions about people's livelihood, environment, education

The conference recorded many enthusiastic opinions, reflecting many practical issues from urban infrastructure, social security, education to environment, culture and people's lives.

The highlight of this year’s conference was the participation of union members and young people. Nguyen Ngoc Gia Han, a 7A1 student at Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School, expressed her wish to soon include life skills and emotional management education in the official curriculum to help students better cope with the pressures of studying and life.

Also at the conference, the representative of the Ward Union pointed out the difficult living conditions of workers and laborers renting accommodation, especially regarding accommodation and learning conditions for their children. The Ward Union proposed the model of "Safe, civilized, and affectionate accommodation", hoping to receive the cooperation of the authorities to better care for workers far from home.

The issues of security, order, environment and urban infrastructure also received many comments from representatives of the Front's working groups. Mr. Do Van Khoa (Group 15 Dich Vong Hau) proposed reviewing the regime and policies for the grassroots security and order forces.

Also concerned about urban management, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (Party cell secretary, head of the Front Work Committee of Group 5 Dich Vong Hau) proposed to thoroughly handle the situation of spontaneous market meetings, especially Nha Xanh market - where people sell on the street, affecting traffic and hygiene. Delegate Do Thi Vuong (Group 14 Dich Vong Hau); proposed to check the parking encroachment on Tran Thai Tong street, causing traffic obstruction and loss of aesthetics.

In addition, many opinions mentioned the problem of lack of swimming pools; local flooding, environmental sanitation and urban order on streets such as Cau Giay, Tran Quoc Vuong, Dich Vong Hau, Nguyen Van Huyen... requesting the ward to have solutions to handle.

The opinions and recommendations were directly discussed and answered by Chairman of Cau Giay Ward People's Committee Ngo Ngoc Phuong and leaders of specialized departments.

Mr. Ngo Ngoc Phuong emphasized: The Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward pay special attention to social security issues; repair and upgrade of traffic roads... Regarding violations of urban order, the ward leaders commit to directing immediate resolution. For proposals beyond their authority, the People's Committee of the ward proactively reports and proposes to superiors, mobilizing investment resources to gradually remove difficulties and meet the legitimate aspirations of the people.

Regarding the shortcomings that people have reported, many schools in the area have built swimming pools but in reality, students do not have access to them. Mr. Ngo Ngoc Phuong said that currently, Cau Giay ward has 5 swimming pools/11 schools, which are not yet in operation due to some opinions on management and operation. According to the latest regulations, the city has delegated this issue to the ward for approval.

"Cau Giay Ward has developed a project for implementation, the general spirit is to fight waste but must ensure compliance with regulations on public asset management" - Mr. Ngo Ngoc Phuong informed.

Secretary of the Cau Giay Ward Party Committee Tran Thi Phuong Hoa assessed that the dialogue conference took place in a democratic and frank atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the sense of responsibility of all levels and sectors and the deep concern of the people for local development.

He suggested that in the coming time, the Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of the ward continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, strengthen supervision and social criticism; promote propaganda and mobilize people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws. Along with that, it is necessary to expand emulation movements and creative models in the community such as "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Day for the poor" to improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

The ward government will strengthen mass mobilization work, grasp residents' aspirations, promptly and thoroughly resolve legitimate petitions; not allowing hot spots to arise or complaints to drag on.
