Born in 1960 in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France), Eric Sanger Monteros was initially a civil engineer, but his passion for photography soon led him away from numbers and into the world of light. At 16, Eric picked up his first Nikon camera and began taking, developing, and printing black and white photographs himself.

For him, photography is a way of seeing the world with the utmost stillness and honesty. Despite the countless conveniences offered by digital technology , he remains faithful to the handcrafted spirit of analog photography: observing, waiting, and only pressing the shutter when the moment truly speaks.
From his early documentary photographs, Eric found his unique voice in water – a medium that is both real and abstract. He carefully observed and studied the phenomena of reflection, refraction, light, and movement, combining scientific knowledge with artistic intuition to create dreamlike images.

The water in his photographs not only reflects the sky but also reflects the human mind. “I don’t use software to create the images. Every picture is real, because I believe the light is perfect,” he shared.
Over more than two decades of creating art, Eric has brought that world to many international art spaces. His photographs of water inspired the Water Projection performance project with conductor Nicolas Kruger and pianist Mara Dobresco, performed in Paris, Croix, and cities in Romania.
He also participated in Rencontres d'Arles 2023, Fantazia Festival 2020 at Montigny Castle, and the Wa Art Fair 2024 in Paris. In 2025, he collaborated with Japanese dancer Mary Katakura on the short film The Quiet Fold, further expanding the language of visuals through the dialogue between movement and light.

“Infinite Reflection” is an invitation to enter a world where water and light meet. In the Ka Koncept space in the heart of Hanoi, where glass, lakes, and mirrors coexist, Eric Sanger Monteros's work finds a natural resonance. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, viewers find tranquility, like a drop of water that, after hitting the ground, still manages to reflect the sky.
The two talks of the art tour “Infinite Reflection” will take place at 3 PM and 5 PM on October 26th at Ka Koncept (3 Hai Ba Trung Street, Hanoi), and will be presented in French with Vietnamese interpretation.
