Sharing when meeting with General Secretary To Lam, President of Aalto University said that this is currently the number 1 university in Finland in terms of expertise, and is in the group of 20 best young universities in the world .
Encourage increased educational cooperation
Although it was only established in 2010, Aalto University inherits a long tradition and academic heritage due to the merger of three of Finland's oldest and largest universities: Helsinki University of Technology (established in 1849), Helsinki School of Economics (established in 1904) and Helsinki University of Art and Design (established in 1871).
Aalto University is famous for its diverse training programs in fields ranging from high technology, industry to social and artistic fields. In particular, the school is famous for its expertise in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The President of Aalto University affirmed his desire and readiness to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese training and research institutions in the school's strengths such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, renewable energy, startups and innovation.
For his part, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam attach importance to and give top priority to creating breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, education and training. In particular, building high-quality human resources to contribute to bringing the country into a new era of development.
He suggested that the Aalto University leadership continue to pay attention to and support the promotion of cooperation in undergraduate and postgraduate training, scientific research and technology transfer between Vietnam and Finland.

Meeting with Vietnamese students studying in Finland, General Secretary To Lam said that the students are fortunate and have the conditions to study and live in an advanced educational environment, especially in science, technology and innovation. Vietnam and Finland, according to him, also have deep similarities in culture, human values and aspirations to excel.
He then shared with the students some messages from the Party and State on the country's development policies in the new era, including Resolution No. 71 on breakthroughs in education and training development.
The General Secretary affirmed that students living and studying abroad play a very important role, serving as a bridge to spread knowledge, culture, national traditions and absorb the quintessence of humanity and international standards.
He hopes that students need to focus on application in research and study, linking theory with practice, shortening the distance from laboratories and lecture halls to meet practical needs. He affirmed that Vietnam especially encourages cooperation programs between universities in Finland, including Aalto University, and universities and educational institutions in Vietnam.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Laboratory to create prototypes with research products serving climate and circular economy goals.
The Communist Party of Finland supports strengthening relations with Vietnam.

Also on October 22, General Secretary To Lam received Chairwoman of the Communist Party of Finland Tiina Sandberg.
At the meeting, the General Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember and appreciate the support and assistance of international progressive forces, including Finnish progressive forces.
In the coming time, he suggested that the two Parties continue to strengthen exchanges and promote deeper and more substantial cooperation through delegation exchanges and theoretical exchanges, as well as support the Vietnamese and Finnish communities in each country to live, study and work in the host country.
For her part, Chairwoman of the Communist Party of Finland Tiina Sandberg affirmed that the two countries' upgrading of their strategic partnership is an important milestone.
She also expressed pride that Vietnam is one of the few Communist Parties in the world today that has successfully promoted its role in all aspects, effectively contributing to the maintenance of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the world and being a source of encouragement for progressive forces in the world.
The Chairman of the Communist Party of Finland affirmed that the Communist Party of Finland always supports further strengthening the Vietnam - Finland relationship as well as the relationship between the two peoples.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam invited Ms. Tiina Sandberg and the delegation of the Communist Party of Finland to pay an official visit to Vietnam as soon as possible.
