
Accordingly, early this morning (October 23), due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, Long Hung and Cau Doi neighborhoods in Ben Cat ward (formerly Binh Duong province), Ho Chi Minh City, experienced localized flooding with strong currents, posing a danger to many households. Upon receiving the report at 1:08 AM, the City Police Command Center quickly dispatched forces to the scene.
Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Police deployed the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 31 with 3 vehicles and 20 officers and soldiers; and the Fire and Rescue Task Force with 1 vehicle and 9 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene to coordinate with the local authorities, the Ben Cat Ward Police, and the Ward Military Command to carry out rescue operations.

Thanks to the urgent efforts of the authorities, 165 people, including many young children and the elderly, were evacuated from the deeply flooded area, ensuring their absolute safety.
By dawn, the water was still receding slowly due to heavy rainfall; however, the situation was under control and there were no casualties.
