According to the latest news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the tropical depression is continuing to move northwest at a speed of 10km/hour, level 6-7 intensity, gusting to level 9. Due to the influence of the tropical depression, from the evening and night of July 13, the Northwest and Viet Bac, Central Highlands and Southern regions have had heavy to very heavy rain in some places.

From last night (July 14) to July 17, in the North and Central Central regions, there was rainfall of 100 - 200mm, in some places over 250mm. In the Northern Delta and coastal areas, the Central Highlands and the South, there was rainfall of 60 - 120mm, in some places over 200mm.

To proactively respond to the developments of tropical depression and heavy rain, on the evening of July 13, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued a telegram requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces, cities, ministries and branches to strictly implement the Prime Minister's Telex No. 67/CD-TTg dated July 13, 2024.

The key tasks in the coming days are to closely monitor the development of the tropical depression; strictly manage vessels going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and development of the tropical depression so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

For inland areas, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recommends organizing forces to guard, control, support, and guide to ensure safe traffic for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides; resolutely not allowing people and vehicles to pass if safety is not ensured; not allowing unfortunate human losses due to carelessness or subjectivity...
