According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of August 8, the center of the tropical depression was located in the eastern area of the North East Sea with the strongest wind at level 6, gusting to level 8 and moving west.
By the afternoon of August 9, the center of the tropical depression was about 480km northeast of Hoang Sa archipelago with the strongest wind at level 6, gusting to level 8.
The tropical depression moved west-northwest, then changed direction to move northwest and gradually weakened into a low pressure area.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the eastern area of the North East Sea has thunderstorms and strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8, waves 2-3m high, rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the effects of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and large waves.
On August 9 and 10, provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , the eastern region of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa continued to experience heat waves, some places were extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places were over 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity was 50-55%. The time with temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius was from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The hot weather in the above-mentioned area is likely to last until August 11; there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas and a risk of forest fires.
To proactively respond to natural disasters, in the dispatch, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City requested the City Military Command, the City Border Guard Command, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Da Nang Coastal Information Station, the Department of Sea, Islands and Fisheries, coastal localities and related units to monitor and promptly notify owners of vehicles and boats still operating at sea of information about the tropical depression so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas at sea.
