President Luong Cuong's visit is an important foreign political event of special significance, demonstrating the commitment to create breakthroughs, elevate relations, consolidate political trust and further deepen the traditional friendship, thereby creating momentum and opening a new phase of cooperation, especially in economics and trade between Vietnam and Egypt and Angola as well as other African countries.
Egypt and Angola are countries with important roles and positions, and are leading economies in the African region. Egypt has a very important geostrategic position, is one of the most influential countries in the Middle East, Africa and the Arab world, and is the headquarters of the Arab League. Angola is currently the Chair of the 54-member African Union, an important force at the United Nations and multilateral forums.
The President's visit not only affirms the loyal and steadfast relationship formed and nurtured during the period of national liberation struggle, but also provides an opportunity for Vietnam and Egypt and Angola to exchange directions and measures to bring the relationship to a new height in a more practical, effective and sustainable manner, meeting the development and international integration needs in the new situation of each country.
