National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visits policy families and offers flowers at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel

This morning, April 28, in the sacred atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30 (1975 - 2025), Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Dao Thi Vui, 102 years old, in Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district (whose husband and 1 child are martyrs); offered flowers and incense at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

Attending the flower and incense offering ceremony at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, on the Central side were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Party Central Committee member, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung.

On the side of Quang Tri provincial leaders, there were alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Visiting Ms. Dao Thi Vui's family, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man kindly encouraged and inquired about the family's health and economic conditions.

At the same time, he emphasized: The Party, State and People always remember the great contributions and silent sacrifices of families whose relatives devoted their youth to the Party and the nation in the two great resistance wars to bring freedom to the nation and prosperity and happiness to the people.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man wished Ms. Dao Thi Vui good health and continued to be a shining example in educating tradition and patriotism for today's generation.

Offering flowers and incense at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man observed a moment of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones in the 81-day and night battle to protect the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, leading to the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.

The sacrifice of the heroic martyrs shows their resilience, indomitability, and great patriotism for the younger generation to learn from and follow in the cause of building an increasingly developed and prosperous country.
