Immediately after receiving the news, Coast Guard Squadron 202 (under the Coast Guard Region 2 Command) urgently dispatched 15 officers and soldiers to coordinate with Trieu Van Border Guard Station and local people to organize fire fighting.
The joint forces quickly deployed firefighting measures, created firebreaks and used manual firefighting equipment to control the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas.
By about 2:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. Initial damage, the fire burned down 1 hectare of protective acacia forest.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
