On the afternoon of December 9, continuing activities in Udon Thani within the framework of his official visit to Thailand, National Assembly Chairman , Professor, Dr. Vuong Dinh Hue visited the Royal Rajabhat University Udon Thani - a school under the patronage of the late King Rama IX and King Rama X.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, lecturers and students of Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Principal Dr. Khanisara Thansunthornsakun expressed his honor to welcome National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to visit.
Principal Khanisara Thansunthornsakun said that the school has signed many cooperation programs with educational institutions in Vietnam in many different localities such as Da Nang, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien...
In particular, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, on November 1, the Royal Rajabhat University Udon Thani established the Vietnam Studies Center. This is a facility that coordinates in-depth training on Vietnam, provides data and information about Vietnam, and contributes to promoting understanding and good cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking here, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his delight at visiting Udon Thani Rajabhat University, saying that this is the second largest university in Thailand that he has visited during his official visit this time. The National Assembly Chairman congratulated Udon Thani Rajabhat University as not only one of the oldest educational institutions, but also the fastest growing university in Thailand.
The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the school's cooperation activities with Vietnam and the establishment of the Vietnamese language major. Thai and Vietnamese teachers are making efforts to impart the Vietnamese language in Thailand. To date, the school has trained nearly 300 students who are able to use Vietnamese. In particular, the school's establishment of the Vietnam Studies Center is an important event in terms of politics and culture, continuing to mark the achievements of educational cooperation between the two countries.
The National Assembly Chairman believes that the Center will be a reliable and prestigious address, providing information and knowledge about the language, culture, country and people of Vietnam to the Thai public, contributing to promoting understanding as well as further strengthening the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Thailand.

Mentioning some outstanding achievements in the bilateral relationship in recent years and the focus of cooperation in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman said that the leaders of the two countries are making efforts and are determined to upgrade the relationship in the near future. In particular, cooperation in education and training plays a very important role, not only helping the two countries cooperate in training and providing quality human resources to meet the development needs of each country, but also helping to enhance understanding of culture and language, becoming a natural glue connecting the two peoples and two countries.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the establishment of the Vietnam Studies Center, the enhancement of activities to teach Vietnamese to Thai people and Thai to Vietnamese people, and educational cooperation activities between the two sides will be important factors to promote Vietnam - Thailand relations.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that Udon Thani Rajabhat University will continue to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese students studying at the school, further promote Vietnamese language teaching activities as well as cooperation activities with Vietnamese educational institutions.
For Vietnamese students studying at the Royal Rajabhat University Udon Thani, the National Assembly Chairman hopes that they will make the most of their opportunities to study at the school, make every effort in their studies, and learn from the country and Thai friends so that they can contribute to the country and to the Vietnam-Thailand relationship in the future.
